I have decided to return to teaching music. I will be offering my services as a personal tutor for bass guitar (4 and 5 string bass) and Double Bass (Pizzicato, french and german bowing and slap)
‘Midnight In Paris‘ beat out ‘The Descendants‘, the Bob Marley documentary ‘Marley‘, ‘The Muppets‘ and the musical ‘Rock Of Ages‘. The soundtrack features music from various artists including Allen’s band mate, Conal Fowkes, and the actual recipient of the award is to be determined. The award was one of many that was awarded before the televised event.

PÃ¥ filmens lydspor finder man bla. danske Swing 41’s udgave af Seul Ce Soir. Bandets bassist Peter Williams er bosiddende i København og medlem af DMF’s københavnsafdeling.

I am full of anticipatory nerves as I wait to find out if I have contributed to a Grammy winning Album. It was more than enough reward for having worked hard on the swing 41 album that Woody Allen used a track from it. My new Album – Jazzy Shorts – is now out on CD and on iTunes:
In the summer of 2008 a few, short, video clips of an acoustic jazz duo received over 100,000 views on YouTube and the attention of American Express with regard to an advertising campaign. The combination of  the English born bassist Peter Williams (known for his contribution to Woody Allen’s Grammy nominated soundtrack for Midnight in Paris) and Danish vibraphonist Jacob Svensson had some serious appeal.
With Jazzy Shorts Peter Williams has composed a collection of original tunes to explore the sound-scape that such an exposed and somewhat eccentric combination of instruments makes possible.

I would just like to publicly thank Søren Svagin of Radio Jazz for interviewing me a couple of Mondays ago (28th of January).
The focus of the interview was my involvement in the Grammy nominated soundtrack to Woody Allen’s Oscar winning film Midnight in Paris. The selection I contributed was from my Gypsy Jazz CD Swing 41 which is still available on CD, or via iTunes.
I was also able though to talk about my love of Bebop, my original compositions, performed by my quartet 2econd Nature. My New CD Jazzy Shorts and my involvement in the superb Bop Quintet Bop Soup Featuring Bert Boeren on trombone, Marko Martinovic on Piano, Simon Thorsen on Tenor and my good friend and long time colleague Mikkel Find on Drums.
