Bop Soup was initially formed to act as a Danish supergroup to entice Bert to play some Bop here in Copenhagen.
- He’s won more awards than you throw a stick at (depending on how good you are at throwing sticks)
- Amongst other bands he has played with  Eurojazz Big Band, the Swingcats, the Dutch Swing College Band, the Bob Brookmeyer Big Band, and in Bart’s Bones
- He has been playing the trombone since 1976
